Course Overview

Do you love the feeling of building something from scratch? Are you a hands-on learner with plenty of creative ideas? A career as a cabinet maker may just be right for you. A Certificate II in Furniture Making will give you the skills you need to start your employment journey.

Each day is a little bit different as you gain experience with power tools, learn how to prepare and maintain hand tools and static machinery, and explore the varied world of furniture making. You’ll be able to use this qualification as a stepping stone towards an apprenticeship, giving you endless career options!

Prepare yourself for the workplace with skills in communication, teamwork, organisation, planning and independent study as you master the basic skills involved in the Cabinet Making and Joinery industry.


3 days per week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8.00am to 4.30pm.

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate II In Furniture Making.
