Certificate II in General Education for Adults
Are you interested in finding a meaningful career or seeking further education, but your lack of knowledge is holding you back? We have the perfect solution.
A Certificate II in General Education for Adults will help you work on the areas you need a bit of extra help in, including literacy, basic maths and general education skills.
This course focuses on developing your literacy skills as you create and engage with a range of familiar and unfamiliar text types. You’ll learn to interpret and create a range of paper-based and web-based text types as you complete projects that are specifically tailored to your needs.
You’ll also learn how to apply knowledge of everyday information to a range of situations, giving you the confidence you need to participate in your wider community.
Taught on-campus for six months, you’ll attend classes four days a week where our expert teachers will work with you to achieve the skills you need for employment. Our teachers will also be there to support and guide you through your entire learning journey, making you feel confident and comfortable to take those next steps.
Those next steps might mean finding employment in an area that interests you, or volunteering in your local community. It could also mean taking your study even further by completing a Certificate II or III in any study field that interests you.
Don’t worry, TAFE Gippsland will be here to support you through all of those choices when the time comes, because we understand they’re not always easy!
