Course Overview

Have you finished school, but you aren’t quite sure of your next step? A Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) will give you the skills and knowledge to make informed decisions about your future.

This course aims to get you ready for employment by giving you vital skills to help you participate in the broader context of your family, community and lifelong journey of learning. These skills will help you make the right choices across a huge range of industry sectors and study pathways.

Not only that, this course will be based on your own interests and strengths, so you can be sure that we’ll help you learn about the things you actually want to learn about. That makes this course enjoyable, and shows you potential work or education pathways in whatever industry you hope to go into.

Taught over an 11-month period, you’ll attend classes, workshops and participate in online learning, being taught by our expert teachers in the field you want to enter.

Once you complete this course, there are many pathways you can take. Some of these pathways could be studying an intermediate or senior level of VCAL, going into an apprenticeship or traineeship (school-based or full-time), or studying a Certificate I (or higher) at TAFE or University.

All these courses will help you enhance your employment opportunities while you discover your passion and work in the sector gaining real-world experience and earning money.

So, if you’re ready to take the first step into figuring out where you’d like to go in the future, we’re here to help you get there.

This course is delivered with a combination of online and on-campus workshops.
