Course Overview

Take your scaffolding career to the final stage with your advanced License to Perform Scaffolding. You’ll find yourself completing complex tasks across a range of industries, including construction, mining and maritime. This course builds on the concepts that you mastered in your basic and intermediate scaffolding courses.

The additional training in this qualification will prepare you to safely erect and dismantle hung and suspended scaffolding, taking you further in your expertise than any other scaffolding course. Become a well of knowledge on your job site with this exciting, fast course.

What to bring:

The Work Safety Centre is classified as a 'Construction Zone' so the student must wear appropriate safety PPE at all times. As a minimum high visability clothing (shirt or vest) and steel cap safety boots must be worn at all times. In addition please ensure you bring a safety helmet and safety glasses for high risk tasks.

Students are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to commencement of training and also bring the following to meet WorkSafe Victoria licensing requirements:

  • Victorian Drivers Licence or proof of ID card
  • Passport or proof of Victorian Residence (Utilities bill or bank statement)
  • Intermediate Scaffolding (SI)

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course participants will be eligible to be assessed for a National Certificate of Competency.

A licence to perform High Risk Work is issued by WorkSafe Victoria. On successful completion of this course, you can apply to WorkSafe Victoria for a license to perform high risk work. You must be at least 18 years old and have literacy and numeracy skills to a level that will allow you to perform the range of skills necessary to be an Advanced Scaffolder.
