If you want to work with forklifts – powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting media – you’re going to need a high-risk work (HRW) licence.

Look no further. A forklift licence will allow you to operate all types of forklift and our training covers all the functions you need to understand and master to operate a forklift and obtain a high-risk work license from WorkSafe Victoria.

Our Licence to operate a forklift truck course will give you skills and knowledge required to drive forklifts effectively and safely. Our experienced teachers and instructor use the most up-to-date learning methods and practices to ensure that you walk away from your forklift course equipped to begin working effectively and safely.

This two-day course includes:

  • Day one - Theory and practical training
  • Day two - Assessment of up to six students

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon completion of this course students will receive a Statement of Attainment. A licence to perform High Risk Work is issued by WorkSafe Victoria. On successful completion of this course, you can apply to WorkSafe Victoria for a license to perform high risk work. There is a fee payable to WorkSafe for a High Risk Licence. Entry Requirements

Mandatory entry requirements:

Must be minimum of 18 years of age.

Recommended entry requirements:

Applicants will be required to undertake pre-course reading and an activity book to ensure an understanding of the learning content that will be reviewed in the class contact time. These materials will be supplied to the students upon enrolment.
Students must provide valid identification documents to the WorkSafe Victoria standards, such as a current Victorian drivers licence.

Limitations to entry:

Have literacy and numeracy skills at sufficient level to be able to undertake training and assessment in English.
