Licence to Perform Rigging - Intermediate Level
Build upon your existing skills as a rigger with this intermediate level license. Once you’ve completed your basic rigging license, this course will allow you to take on more complex jobs. It is mandatory to have your rigging license in Victoria when you are working as a rigger on any worksite, so give yourself the best chance of success with this fast and interesting qualification.
On top of basic rigging duties, you’ll learn about rigging cranes, conveyors, dredges and excavators. Master the rigging work associated with tilt slabs, demolitions and dual lifts for licensing purposes. This qualification will make you more attractive to potential employers because you will know the safest and most efficient rigging methods.
A licence to perform High Risk Work is issued by WorkSafe Victoria. On successful completion of this course, you can apply to WorkSafe Victoria for a license to perform high risk work. Material and Equipment Supplied by Students
The Work Safety Centre is classified as a 'Construction Zone' so the student must wear appropriate safety PPE at all times. As a minimum high visibility clothing (shirt or vest) and steel cap safety boots must be worn at all times. In addition please ensure you bring a safety helmet and safety glasses for high risk tasks.
Students are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to commencement of training and also bring the following to meet WorkSafe Victoria licensing requirements:
- Passport or Drivers Licence or proof of ID card, and
- Proof of Victorian residence (utilities bill or bank statement)
- Rigging Basic (RB)
Mandatory entry requirements
Minimum age limit and must hold CPCCLRG3001 Rigging Basic and a High Risk Work licence.
Recommended entry requirements
Have literacy and numeracy skills at sufficient level to be able to undertake training and assessment in English.
Limitations to entry
Must be the holder of a current Rigging Basic High Risk Work licence
