Course Overview
You’ll find doggers working in a huge range of settings wherever heavy loads need to be moved and transported. If you are looking for a qualification that you can take with you into a huge number of industries, a License to Perform Dogging is right for you.
In this course, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge to safely and efficiently complete dogging activities. Learn to plan, prepare and complete projects to the highest industry standards, making you a valuable employee on any job site.
A licence to perform High Risk Work is issued by WorkSafe Victoria. On successful completion of this course, you can apply to WorkSafe Victoria for a license to perform high risk work. Enrolment into this course must be finalised 5 working days before the course commences.
What to bring
The Work Safety Centre is classified as a 'Construction Zone' so the student must wear appropriate safety PPE at all times. As a minimum high visibility clothing (shirt or vest) and steel cap safety boots must be worn at all times. In addition please ensure you bring a safety helmet and safety glasses for high risk tasks.
Students are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to commencement of training and also bring the following to meet WorkSafe Victoria licensing requirements:
- Passport or Drivers Licence or proof of ID card, and
- Proof of Victorian residence (utilities bill or bank statement
Qualifications and Recognition

Course and Entry Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old and have literacy and numeracy skills to a level that will allow you to perform the range of skills necessary to be a dogger.
