Cut with confidence!

Learn cutting techniques and build your confidence as a hairstylist with this short course in haircutting.

Suitable for apprentices, beginner and intermediate learners in cutting, this short course will help you refresh your skills in the industry, as you learn how to execute the latest looks on long, medium and short hair.

With a focus on tailored cutting, our expert team of trainers will teach you how to personalise a haircut with texturising, layering, face framing and fringes and achieve the perfect finish to your cuts.

Designed for third-year apprentices and trainees who’ve completed their cutting modules, this short course is the perfect fit for anyone looking to refresh their skills in the industry.

Cutting with Confidence will give you the skills and practical know-how to take on your next style cut with conviction.

You will be guided by industry professionals through interactive, hands-on workshops that cut right to the chase. In just 12 hours, you’ll learn to cut long, medium and short hair into concave bobs, shag (wolf) cuts, long-layered haircuts and short pixie cuts, with a focus on techniques such as texturizing, face framing and fringes.

As part of the course cost, each student will receive a mannequin head to practice their haircuts on, with a final session where students will bring in their model to complete a style of their choice supervised by your educator sharing tips and tricks along the way.

You need to bring a basic hairdressing kit to each session including scissors, cutting comb, six sectioning clips, brushes and a hairdryer. All styling products will be supplied along with worksheets for note taking.

This course runs over 3 Nights (5pm to 9pm) or 2 Day Sessions (9am to 3:30pm) intake dates below.
