About this course

This course is structured for delivery of 3 days a week over 16 weeks with 1 day of work placement recommended.

This course is offered as a pre apprenticeship for people working or looking to work in the automotive industry who want a career in automotive vehicle servicing. Students will learn how to service and minor repair faults on automotive vehicle engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes and electrical systems and components

Opportunities for Further Study

The AUR Training Package includes higher level qualifications including Cert III, IV and Diplomas.

Skills or Knowledge gained

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of vehicles in the automotive service and repair industry. At successful completion of this course you will have the skills to be able to service vehicles in all areas of workshops and or dealerships.

Sufficient completion of a language literacy and numeracy assessment.
Confirmed industry work placement (to be arranged by student)

Inability to carry out the physical requirements related to the Pre-Apprenticeship course.

Qualifications and Recognition - 2023

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology.
