About this course

Offered as an apprenticeship for people working in the mobile plant industry, you will learn how to service and repair faults on mobile plant equipment engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes, hydraulic systems, implement and electrical systems and components.

Career Opportunities

Employment in Mobile plant mechanical workshops, Earthmoving and civil workshops and or dealerships as a qualified Mobile plant mechanical technician.

Opportunities for Further Study

Certificate IV or diploma in the automotive industry.

Skills or Knowledge gained

This qualification is made up of thirty six units of competency which covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of service and repair tasks with-in the Mobile plant service and repair industry.

Registered and employed as an apprentice. with a completion of a language literacy and numeracy assessments
