Course Overview

Are you an electrical tradesperson, technician, engineer who wants to improve your skills? Do you want to operate as an accredited service provider for the design or installation of grid-connected new energy generating and storage systems?

Then do we have the course for you! Completing a course in New Energy Technology Systems will open a huge number of doors, allowing you to offer many more services and increasing your future employment opportunities.

When you complete this course, there are so many possibilities for future work. These include working as a Grid Connected Solar Photo voltaic Battery Installer, or a Grid Connected Solar Photo voltaic Battery Designer

You’ll also be able to apply to the Clean Energy Council (CEC) for solar accreditation as a designer and installer of renewable energy generating systems.

Entry Requirements

This course is run in collaboration with Solar Victoria to eligible participants who meet the following entry/eligibility requirements.

Mandatory entry requirements for PV Grid Connect Design and Install Stream

  • Hold a current A Class Electrician’s Licence or equivalent license from another Australian state or territory or
  • relevant Electrical trade certificate or
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in the installation of PV systems

Mandatory entry requirements for Battery Storage Design & Installation Stream

  • Hold a current A Class Electrician’s Licence and
  • Have successfully completed UEENEEK148A – Install, configure and commission LV grid-connected photovoltaic power systems
