• Welding supervision pathway – Suitable for experienced welders and fabrication personnel seeking to develop skills in welding supervision, welding procedures, quality systems and compliance, providing a pathway towards further specialist welding coordination and inspection training.
• Current apprentices – Apprentices are encouraged to commence the Certificate IV during the later stages of their apprenticeship, allowing them to build on their existing trade skills and maximise opportunities for advanced technical development, specialist electives and Credit Transfer.
• Qualified tradespeople and industry professionals – Suitable for those seeking to broaden their technical knowledge, develop specialist engineering skills or prepare for higher-level technical and supervisory responsibilities.
• New entrants to engineering – Learners without a trade qualification are encouraged to enrol through TAFE Gippsland's structured engineering pathway, providing a supported progression into advanced engineering studies.

Limitations to course Entry:

Learners without relevant engineering experience are encouraged to enrol through TAFE Gippsland's structured engineering pathway to ensure they are supported through the qualification at an appropriate level.
