Entry Requirements

Are there specified requirements for entry into the course/qualification?: Yes

Mandatory entry requirements:

For the operations stream, a candidate must hold a Certificate III in Plumbing or be authorised
to undertake plumbing work by an Australian regulator/licensing body.
Completion of the general construction induction training program specified by the model
Code of Practice for Construction Work is required before entering a construction work site.
Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets
this requirement.
For students intending to undertake CPCPWT4023 Commission and Maintain Hot and Cold temperature controlled devices
This unit has Pre Requisite units that include:
CPCPCM2043 Carry Out WHS Requirements
CPCPWT3022 Install and Commission water heating systems and adjust control devices
CPCPWT4022 Commission and Maintain backflow prevention devices
Pre Requisite units:
CPCPCM2043 Carry Out WHS Requirements
CPCPWT3027 Install Backflow prevention Devices

Recommended entry Requirements:

Certificate III in Plumbing.
VBA gazette and prescribe units which enable a Plumber to obtain licensing in line with the Certificate IV in Plumbing Qualification.
