Course Overview

Then do we have the course for you! Completing a course in Grid-connected Battery Storage Systems Designer-Installer Skills will open a huge number of doors, allowing you to offer many more services and increasing your future employment opportunities.

Successful completion of this course is a steppingstone to several exciting job opportunities including working as a Grid Connected Solar Photo voltaic Battery Installer or a Grid Connected Solar Photo voltaic Battery Designer.

You’ll also be able to apply Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) for solar accreditation as a designer and installer of renewable (battery) energy generating systems.

Please note, in order to complete this course, you must hold a current A Class Electrician’s Licence. You must also hold current CEC accreditation for the design and installation of Grid-connected Solar PV systems- validated prior to course entry by sighting proof of valid/current SAA accreditation as a current SAA accredited Solar PV Designer and Installer.

Course and Entry Requirements

  1. Hold a current A Class Electrician’s Licence or equivalent license from another Australian state or territory and
  2. Hold current SAA accreditation (or equivalent accreditation/units) for the design and installation of Grid-connected Solar PV systems
  3. Solar Victoria $0 fee contract place condition: Companies that prospective students are either employed by, operate as a sole-trader, or are directors of, must be registered with Solar Victoria and the Victorian Solar Homes Program to eligible
  4. Solar Victoria $0 fee contract place condition: Be a Victorian resident.

Specialist Course Information

Successful attainment of this course will enable graduates to apply to Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) for solar accreditation as a designer and installer of renewable (battery) energy generating systems. This process will require successful students to undertake separate assessments and a case-study for assessment by the SAA. It is a separate process independent of delivery of this course.
