About this course

If you’re already working in the automotive electrical industry and want to shift your career up a gear with an apprenticeship, this course is for you.
Offered as model of day release for apprentices who are currently employed in the automotive industry, you’ll attend class one day per week to learn how to repair faults on a broad range of automotive vehicle electrical systems and components.

Gain skills in all aspects of the automotive electrical trade with this nationally recognised qualification that will see you working in this high demand industry as an automotive electrician.
This comprehensive Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology course covers health and safety, customer relations and using tools, repairing, servicing and testing all the elements of electrical systems.

Career Opportunities

Employment in automotive vehicle workshops and or dealerships as a qualified automotive electrical technician.

Opportunities for Further Study

Cert III, IV and Diplomas within the automotive industry.

Skills or Knowledge gained

This qualification is made up of 32 units of competency which covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of diagnostic and repair tasks within the automotive electrical trade

Registered and employed as apprentice with a completion of a language literacy and numeracy assessment.

Completion of year ten secondary studies, 16 years of age
