About this course
Love working outdoors? Think you’re pretty handy on the tools? This this could be the course you’re looking for!
Learn how to diagnose, service and repair faults in outdoor power equipment while getting hands-on experience with push and ride on mowers, line trimmers, chainsaws and a massive variety of electrical systems and components.
Perfect for apprentices who are wanting to use this course to go further in their career, or wanting to pursue a role as a service technician.
And when you finish this course, you’ll have many pathways open to you. Some of these options include working as in an outdoor power equipment workshop and or dealership as a qualified outdoor power equipment service & repair technician.
There is also the option of taking your studies even further by completing a Certificate IV and Diploma within the automotive industry. All of our courses will further your employment opportunities and allow you to take on higher-level roles. We will be here to help you make those decisions if that’s the path you choose.

This qualification is made up of 38 units of competency which covers the skill and knowledge required to perform a broad range of service and repair tasks with-in the outdoor power industry

Mandatory entry requirements:
Must be a registered and employed apprentice with a completion of a language literacy and numeracy assessment.
Recommended entry Requirements:
Completion of year ten secondary studies, 16 years of age
