About this course
If you hold a Certificate III level or higher in community services, health or a related field, work in various care and support roles and want to develop skills in providing person-centred support to people with disability, this course is for you.
This course will give you the skills to follow individualised support plans to assist people with disability to achieve their goals.
Want to take your studies further?
It can also be used for students wanting to access Certificate IV in Disability (having completed Certificate III in Aged care) or wanting to access Certificate III Individual Support - Disability having already completed Certificate III in Aged Care.
Career Opportunities
Disability stream - A range of disability roles such as disability support worker, personal care worker, lifestyle support worker or personal care assistant, support coordinator, case manager, in-home disability support worker and community support worker.

Are there specified requirements for entry into the course/qualification?: No
Mandatory entry requirements:
COVID vaccination - triple dose (From 17 September 2021, COVID-19 vaccination will be mandatory for all residential aged care workers. Exemptions will not apply)
# NDIS worker screening check
Must be able to attend class as per the timetable.
Minimum ACSF level 3 in all levels
Recommended entry Requirements:
Moderate computer skills
