TAFE Gippsland Scholarships Assessment Process

  • After the scholarships application period has closed all applications are shared with a three-person assessment panel. The panel is made up of TAFE Gippsland staff members from different teams, who haven’t been involved with the applicants.
  • The three assessment panel members read each of the scholarship applications, ensure each application meets the terms and conditions, and individually assesses the three main questions focused on career vision, financial and other hardships, and the proposed use of funds.
  • The scores are then collated by an administrator and ranked in order of highest to lowest scored per category
  • Depending on the circumstances and scoring there may be an interview organised for the students that have applied, or a consensus meeting held between the panel members to determine the final recipients.
  • Applications are then re checked to ensure that they meet the terms and conditions prior to the student applicants being notified of successful or unsuccessful applications via email.
