Course Overview

Do you dream of working in a day spa or beauty clinic providing relaxing and indulgent beauty treatments for your clients? By completing a Diploma of Beauty Therapy you will have the skills and experience to be able to work within the industry as a Beauty Therapist.

During your course you'll learn the skills and knowledge of individuals employed as beauty therapists to provide a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services including facial treatments, body massage, body and spa treatments, waxing services, lash and brow treatments, nail and make-up services. This includes consultation with clients to provide beauty advice, recommend beauty treatments and services, and sell retail skin-care and cosmetic products.

On completion of your course the list of opportunities are endless. From working in local spas and salons, owning your own business or you may wish to travel the world working throughout destination spa's or cruise ships.

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

Entry Requirements

Mandatory entry requirements

  • 17 years of age.
  • Applicants are required to have an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills, which will be evaluated prior to course intake. Pre Training Review and Interview will be required prior to enrolment.

Recommended entry requirements

  • Learners with excellent people and communication skills and a genuine interest in the Beauty & Spa Industry.

Limitations to entry

  • Diploma of Beauty Therapy wouldn't be suited to a learner with low language, literacy and numeracy skills.

VET Student Loans

VET Student Loans are available to assist eligible students studying higher level vocational education and training (VET) qualifications to pay their tuition fees. Higher level VET qualifications are at those at a Diploma level and above. VET Student loans are capped at a maximum for each approved course of study and the amount of the loan cannot be greater than your remaining FEE-HELP balance. If eligible for a student loan, you can access up to $15,793 to help cover the tuition fees for this course.
