By completing a Diploma of Beauty Therapy you will gain the skills and experience to be able to work within the industry as a Beauty Therapist.
You’ll learn the skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services, including facial and specialised facial treatments, body massage, spa treatments, waxing services, lash and brow treatments, nail and make-up services.
This course will also teach you how to consult with clients to provide beauty advice, recommend beauty treatments and services, and sell retail skincare and cosmetic products.
Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy, the list of opportunities are endless. From working in local spas and salons, owning your own business or even travelling the world working in destination spas, we can give you the skills you need to set yourself up for exciting career opportunities– whichever way you choose to take it!
You’ll also be eligible to take your career even further by studying a Advanced Diploma of Skin Therapy (not offered at TAFE Gippsland) a Bachelor of Dermal Sciences (not offered at TAFE Gippsland), or a Bachelor of Health Science (not offered at TAFE Gippsland). These courses will enhance your employment opportunities and help create even more career possibilities.

Entry Requirements
Mandatory entry requirements:
17 years of age.
Applicants are required to have an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills, which will be evaluated prior to course intake. Pre Training Review and Interview will be required prior to enrolment.
Recommended entry requirements:
Learners with excellent people and communication skills and a genuine interest in the Beauty & Spa Industry.
Limitations to entry:
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy wouldn't be suited to a learner with low language, literacy and numeracy skills.

Course Cost
VET Student Loans
VET Student Loans are available to assist eligible students studying higher level vocational education and training (VET) qualifications to pay their tuition fees. Higher level VET qualifications are at those at a Diploma level and above. VET Student loans are capped at a maximum for each approved course of study and the amount of the loan cannot be greater than your remaining FEE-HELP balance. If eligible for a student loan, you can access up to $16,788.00 to help cover the tuition fees for this course. Assessment
