Course Overview
Energy Safe Victoria is introducing Victoria’s first program of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for the electrical trade. It has become necessary for most classes of electrical licence holders to attend an eight hour CPD training session, as a condition of their licence renewal. This course is for Licensed Electrical Workers (LEW's).
Learners will attend this training as part of their licensing requirements for ESV. Resources for this course have been developed and supplied by Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) which is the Electrical Industry regulator

You need to bring:
- your Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) electrical workers licence, with an expiry date that indicates your licence is due for renewal within 2 years (or your ESV CPD letter notifying of course requirements) and a photo ID.
- Wear long sleeves and covered in shoes. Long pants are recommended
- Safety glasses
- Bring their own device (i.e. laptop, tablet or phone)
You are also encouraged to bring your own:
- Digital or analogue IRC tester;
- LOTO kit
- Electrical gloves
- Copies of Standards and regulations, if relevant to your course (e.g. AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules)
