Have you been thinking about incorporating superior genetics into your herd, bringing uniformity to your calving, or upskilling your staff? Then our Artificial Insemination (AI) of Livestock course is for you.
This accredited course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to develop a successful AI program for your farm and improve the health and reproductive performance of your herd.
This nationally recognised AI training course is supported by Dairy Australia and the National Herd Improvement Association.
The blended delivery of this accredited short course is all-inclusive with the right balance between theory, practical skills training and simulation workshops. It will teach you the skills needed to enhance your herds performance and achieve enriched fertility targets on your farm.

Course and Entry Requirements
- Farm and facilities to artificially inseminate cows
- Herd size large enough to inseminate at least 10 cows (per person)
- Participants will require their own AI equipment and semen straws.
Limitations to entry:
- Students should be a minimum of 16 years of age to undertake this course.
- Students must have access to a reliable internet connection.
- Students must have access to a computer or tablet that will support course work to be completed in our Learning Management System Moodle. We recommend that this also includes a headset (integrated microphone and earphones).
- Students working within the agricultural industry must be physically fit, this includes the ability to bend and lift. Students must be able to spend considerable time on their feet throughout their working day.
