Course Overview
Invasive animals threaten and impact farms, parks and forests, waterways and are one of the main threats to biodiversity in Australia.
As a vertebrate pest controller, you’ll need to know all about how their presence impacts our environment and economy and the threat the animals themselves may indirectly pose to human health, amenities and society.
This course covers AHCPMG309 Apply Animal Control Techniques, which is one of the three units required by Agriculture Victoria to be able to apply for a Commercial Operators Licence Vermin destroyers and avicides.
You’ll have the opportunity to engage with guest speakers and presenters involved in vertebrate pest control, learning the skills and knowledge required to apply control techniques for pest animals in compliance with a pest management plan.
