Course Overview
There are some vehicles that are small, and then there are the vehicles so big you need a qualification just to touch them! That’s where this course comes in.
Learn how to repair and service engines, transmissions, cooling, steering, electrical circuits, air and hydraulic brakes, diesel fuel injection systems on a range of trucks, busses and other vehicles in the heavy vehicle industry.
Perfect for apprentices wanting to work closely with our teachers, as well as your employer to ensure your skills are of the highest standard.
And when you finish this qualification, it will open doors to opportunities in sectors that are constantly evolving with new technology and changing needs. You might find yourself working in an automotive heavy commercial vehicle workshop, fleet workshop and or dealership as a qualified heavy commercial vehicle technician.
You might even want to take your studies further with a Certificate IV or Diploma in the automotive industry. We will talk you through everything you need to know about taking those steps if and when you decide you’re ready, because we understand making these choices takes time.
Go on, prove your skills with hands-on experience and impress your future employers with an in-depth understanding of heavy vehicle systems!
Please note, students must be registered and employed in the industry given this being an apprenticeship course.
