Career Opportunities
Local job roles are usually small businesses but also include organisations such as health care, education and local government. Students with prior employment experience can register with the Tax Practitioner’s Board to work as a BAS Agent after successful completion of the course.

This course is an entry requirement for students who wish to complete FNS50222 - Diploma of Accounting

BSB50420 - Diploma of Leadership and Management
Skills or Knowledge gained
Knowledge of double entry accounting, financial reporting requirements and GST compliance. Practical skills using integrated accounting software systems, spreadsheets and online support.

Persons providing a business activity statement (BAS) service must be registered by the Tax Practitioners Board and this qualification is currently cited as meeting the educational requirements for registration. Other conditions apply including a designated period of experience. Persons seeking BAS agent registration should check current registration requirements with the Board as this is reviewed regularly.

- Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
