Course Overview

ATTENTION: As much as we’d love to offer more, we can only offer one Free TAFE course per person. If you’ve already enrolled and commenced, or enrolled but didn’t complete a Free TAFE course at any Victorian TAFE in the past you will NOT be eligible for another and will need to pay tuition and materials fees when you enrol. Reach out to us if you think this is you.

Are you working in a job you love, but don’t have all the qualifications you need? Or do you have a staff member with huge potential you want to keep, but they just need that little bit of upskilling? If so, a Certificate III in Education Support (Traineeship) is the perfect course for both the employer, and the employee.

Available to people who currently work in the education sector, this traineeship will help students learn the skills and gain the qualifications they need in this nationally accredited course.

Designed so students can study and work at the same time, this flexible course will give them hands-on experience in the industry they love, allowing them to work as an integration aide, an office administrator or even a teacher’s aide, in a public, independent or specialist school, as well as enhancing career opportunities.

Training for this course is undertaken in the workplace, where you’ll meet with your teacher on a regular basis both face-to-face and via phone so you feel supported 100% of the way.

Individuals can apply directly, or a business owner can enrol an employee as a way of developing staff knowledge, skills and experience.

At the end of course, students will be eligible to take their study further and apply for the Certificate IV in Education Support, which will provide even greater opportunities to work in the sector, as you work and study at the same time. Meaning you’ll be putting what you’re learning into practice, making you more confident and increasing your employment opportunities.

So, if you’re needing to upskill in your current industry, we’re here to help you get the qualifications you need to stay in the job you love.
