Course Overview

ATTENTION: As much as we’d love to offer more, we can only offer one Free TAFE course per person. If you’ve already enrolled and commenced, or enrolled but didn’t complete a Free TAFE course at any Victorian TAFE in the past you will NOT be eligible for another and will need to pay tuition and materials fees when you enrol. Add a Certificate IV in Education Support to your list of qualifications and get ready to take the next step in your career. Work as a highly sought-after teacher’s aide within public, independent and community education sectors. You’ll learn to complete tasks autonomously and as a part of a dynamic team of staff members working towards a common goal.

This qualification will give you the necessary skills to help students with their literacy and numeracy, offering specialised support to students with individual needs and disabilities. Successfully completing this qualification will prepare you for future studies or for an exciting, ever-changing career as a teacher’s aide.

This course is delivered with a combination of online and on campus workshops.

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Education Support.

  • Students must obtain a clear police check and working with children's check to be eligible to complete the placement hours required.
  • Students must be a minimum of 17 years of age to be considered for enrolment into this course.
  • Students must have access to a computer and the internet to be able to complete the course successfully
