Course Overview

Are you looking for a way to further your basic English language skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment? Choose the Certificate II in Spoken and Written English and prepare yourself to actively seek out employment or further your education.

You’ll become a more confident, intermediate English speaker as you improve your reading, writing, speaking, listening, pronunciation and grammar.

Be a bigger part of your community, workplace and home as you learn to give and receive spoken instructions, practice telephone conversations and practice transactional

conversations.

Taught on-campus for 18 weeks, this course is assessed by completing activities instead of formal testing, making our you feel more comfortable as you learn. Our teachers will be there to support you every step of the way, improving your confidence as you go.

You will have access to six hours of career advice, a tutor, and 10 hours of class time per week. This will give you plenty of opportunities to practice and progress.

When you finish this course, you will have enough skills to work in many areas of the community, or you will also be able to take your study even further by enrolling in the Certificate III in Spoken and Written English. This course will give you more understanding of the English language and improve your employment opportunities.

This course is delivered with a combination of online and on-campus workshops.

Eligibility of AMEP students will be  based on an assessment of your Visa sub class.

SEE

Skills for Education and Employment (SEE)

A specialised program funded by the Australian Government, SEE provides up to 650 hours of free accredited training for eligible job seekers. You will receive training to help you improve your skills, confidence and access to education and job opportunities.

Qualifications and Recognition

Upon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate II in Spoken and Written English.

Career Opportunities

At completion of Certificate II students can enrol in CSWE III. At the completion of Certificate III CSWE students can apply for further study in any chosen area. For example, Individual. Or apply directly for jobs in their chosen field.
