When it comes to aged care and disability, every patient has their own set of challenges and strengths. A Certificate III in Individual Support will take out into the community and residential settings, helping people who need your support.

Group 1: Monday 9:00am to 3:00pm and Tuesday 9:00am to 3:00pm

Qualifications and RecognitionUpon successful completion of this course students will be eligible to receive the Certificate III in Individual Support.
This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.Job roles or employment may include but is not limited to work in aged care facilities, home & community care environments and hospice facilities.

Mandatory entry requirements
- Police checks are required to be completed prior to entry into course. must not have a disclosure on police check
- TAFE Gippsland recommends (not mandatory) students must be 18 years of age and above

- Moderate computer skills
- Immunisations: flu shot maybe required prior to placement during flu season
Limitations to entry
- Must be physically fit as the job role requires manual handling using industry equipment.
