Course Overview
When your business prepares and sells food, you need to ensure every member of your staff is maintaining the highest possible standards of hygiene. The Food Safety Supervisor course will give you the management skills to make sure your customers receive safe and delicious meals. Completing this training will ensure your business complies with government regulations based on the Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles of food safety plans and systems.
When enrolling in this course, please state that you require a certificate for the hospitality industry accreditation. Other industries are covered by different qualifications, so it’s vital that you receive the relevant training for your sector.

It applies to food handlers who directly handle food during the course of their daily work activities. This may include:

The unit applies to all organisations with permanent or temporary kitchen premises or smaller food preparation areas. This includes restaurants, cafes, clubs, and hotels; food vans; market stall operators; tour operators; attractions; function, event, exhibition and conference catering; educational institutions; aged care facilities; correctional centres; hospitals; defence forces; cafeterias, kiosks, canteens and fast food outlets; residential catering; in-flight and other transport catering.

Achievement of this unit provides credit towards qualifications in tourism, travel, hospitality, events, holiday parks and resorts in the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.
