Course Description

Are you a registered plumber?

Are you considering applying for a plumbing licence with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA)?

Are you already a licenced plumber with the VBA and you are seeking to complete a specialised or restricted class?

TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) – CONISS013 Commission and maintain hot and heated water temperature control systems – is the qualification you need to become a specialist in your industry.

Develop the advanced skills and knowledge required for an industry licence and set your sights on a specific area of plumbing that will lead to several career pathways and certifications.

Upon completion of this course, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.

Career Opportunities

Once you’ve completed this course, you’ll be eligible to register with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) and potentially become a plumbing contractor in TMV

Entry Requirements

Mandatory entry requirements:

A candidate must hold a Certificate III in Plumbing or be authorised to undertake plumbing work by an Australian regulator/licensing body.

For students intending to undertake CPCPWT4023 Commission and Maintain Hot and Cold temperature controlled devices

This unit has Pre Requisite units that include:

  • CPCPCM2043 Carry Out WHS Requirements
  • CPCPWT3022 Install and Commission water heating systems and adjust control devices

Recommended entry requirements:

  • Certificate III in Plumbing.
  • VBA gazette and prescribe units which enable a Plumber to obtain licensing in line with the Certificate IV in Plumbing Qualification
