Course Overview

Considering working part time in hospitality? Looking for a short-term career path when you go off to university? Or perhaps you would like to take on a traineeship or apprenticeship after completing school? If you answered yes to any of these, then the Certificate II in Hospitality may be the course for you.

Undertaken as part of VET delivered in schools, Certificate II in Hospitality students will learn on campus one day per week to get the entry level skills and knowledge required to work in the hospitality industry, working in one of our first-class training restaurants with real customers. Our industry-experienced trainers will show what it takes to work in a top-notch cafe, pub, club or restaurant.

Entry Requirements

Literacy and Numeracy

Students should be working at, or close to, the expected level in Reading, Writing and Numeracy (e.g. around a Year 9 NAPLAN standard or equivalent). This ensures they can understand course materials and complete written tasks.

Physical capacity and mobility

Students may need a basic level of physical ability to take part in practical activities, such as kneeling on the floor and performing continuous chest compressions for a short period.
