TAFE-Gippsland-Jake-Seuren

Jake Seuren is being celebrated at TAFE Gippsland and in his West Gippsland community for taking out the People Choice Award in the Trainee of the Year category at the 2021 Victorian Training Awards.

The young West Gippsland Agriculture student polled the most votes from the public voting process; an indication of the popularity and the respect this young man has across the Gippsland community and amongst his TAFE Gippsland colleagues and staff.

The 67th Victorian Training Awards, recognising the state’s best apprentices, students, teachers, trainers and employers, were announced during a livestream event on Saturday night with all finalist appearing via on-line links.

Nominated by Louise Underhill in our Agricultural Sciences dept, Jake was one of three finalists in the Trainee of the Year award category and was pipped for the honour by a Nursing trainee from Federation University in Ballarat. You can catch up with all the winners here.

You can see some of the excited public reaction through our social media post here.

On behalf of everyone at TAFE Gippsland, congratulations and well done Jake for winning the 2021 People Choice Award and a big thankyou to everyone at TAFE Gippsland and throughout our Gippsland community for nominating this outstanding young man. #VTA2021.
