TAFE Gippsland’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Grant Radford, will leave the Gippsland-based Institute in June to take up a new CEO role at Box Hill Institute.

Mr Radford will move to Box Hill Institute after more than four years at the helm of TAFE Gippsland.

Mr Radford’s departure was announced to staff this week through Board Chair, Mr Paul Buckley, PSM. Mr Buckley paid tribute to the outstanding work of Grant Radford since his appointment in March 2018.

“Grant Radford has been inspirational in his stewardship of our Institute over four plus years as he oversaw the biggest campus redevelopment program in our history,” Mr Buckley said.

“Grant also brought an executive team together that has attracted some of the most talented people in Gippsland.  In turn, they have helped deliver a vibrant and high-quality staff and learning experience for vocational students in Gippsland.”

“Grant’s management of TAFE Gippsland has instilled new pride for TAFE training in our region and he has helped forge incredible new partnerships with industry and community that now support our high-quality vocational training programs and aspirations,” Mr Buckley said.

Mr Buckley said he wished Mr Radford all the best in his move to Box Hill Institute in June.

“Grant’s influence and leadership has steered TAFE Gippsland to a position where are now a well-respected Institute for vocational learning, and we are very focused on delivering that quality student learning experience throughout our regional Gippsland communities, Mr Buckley said.

“Grant Radford leaves a very significant legacy of achievements at TAFE Gippsland, and we look forward to building on these achievements for the benefit of all our vocational students and our staff throughout Gippsland.”

“While we are sad to say farewell to Grant, we thank him sincerely for his passion and dedication to the CEO role; we know he will bring immense integrity and leadership skills to his new role at Box Hill Institute, and he goes with our heartfelt gratitude and our very best wishes.”

Tracey Cooper, Board Chair of Box Hill Institute, welcomed the appointment of Grant Radford to the CEO and Managing Director position.

“With Grant’s extensive experience in vocational education, we are confident that his people-focused leadership and passion for quality education will strengthen Box Hill Institute’s position and take our Institute into the future.”

Mr Radford will take up his new appointment at Box Hill Institute on Tuesday 21 June. An interim CEO will be announced for TAFE Gippsland while a formal replacement process takes place.
