TAFE Gippsland and WestVic Staffing Solutions have announced a strengthened partnership to support the Gippsland region by expanding connecting businesses, students and job seekers with tailored solutions that foster workforce development and community prosperity.
With over 40 years of experience helping locals find employment and training solutions, WestVic brings deep regional knowledge and a proven track record of impact—starting in southwest Victoria and in recent years extending across the Gippsland region.
“By working together more closely, we’re not only strengthening our own organisations but also creating greater opportunities for the people and businesses of the Gippsland region,” said David Gamble, General Manager Eastern Region of WestVic Staffing Solutions.
“This partnership is about building a future-ready workforce that reflects our commitment to community and industry.”
TAFE Gippsland echoed this sentiment, with Linda Austin, Director Educational Delivery, stating: “Our shared commitment to practical, purpose-driven outcomes means we can better support local employers and learners alike. Together, we’re exploring innovative ways to boost participation in apprenticeships and traineeships, ensuring the region thrives.”
The partnership will focus on:
- Identifying and addressing local skills gaps
- Creating pathways into apprenticeships and traineeships
- Engaging with industry to co-design training solutions in areas of skills shortage
- Promoting inclusive access to training and employment opportunities.
This initiative reflects both organisations’ dedication to long-term, sustainable impact—where collaboration leads to real change for individuals, businesses, and the broader community.
