Nick Steevens

Nick Steevens makes being a great teacher sound pretty easy.

With 18 years of experience under his belt, Nick knows his way around a job site. Together with his knowledge of industry trends and commitment to professional development, Nick’s toolkit for this transition to teaching in 2022 was well stocked.

“It’s really important that apprentices have the confidence to perform tasks independently and safely and it’s my job to make sure that happens in a timely manner,” Nick said.

“I tailor training to each student’s skill level, adjusting pace and focus to maximise learning outcomes. I check in regularly on progress, offering encouragement and strategies for improvement making myself make accessible for questions and extra support, often outside of class time.”
